Gueleguetza tickets now available

on or after June 9, 2009

Tickets for Oaxaca's great summer festival of indigenous dance and music are available now.

Cost is $400 pesos per event (around $30 U.S.)

The festival will take place on Monday July 20th and again on the 27th. There will be two presentations each day, at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.

There will also be a free "People's gueleguetza"--look for posters around Oaxaca.

The word gueleguetza means a gift, and this festival truly is one of Oaxaca's gifts to the world.
